• 2006-: independently developed free software packages for the R Project for Statistical Computing
• latticist, an exploratory visualisation application;
• playwith, a graphical user interface for interactive plots;
• ihacres, a rainfall runoff hydrology model and related functions (not yet released);
• hydrosanity, tools for sanity-checking and processing of rainfall and streamflow data.
• contributions to Deepayan Sarkar's latticeExtra, utilities for designing Trellis Graphics displays.
• 2003-: worked for iCAM (Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management Centre)
• developing IHACRES-tambo, a (Java) interface for exploring the IHACRES model interactively with case studies. This was used in the ANU course MATH3134.
• maintaining IHACRES, a rainfall-runoff model (~25,000 lines of Java).
• developing Sensus, a batch model run and model sensitivity tool for ICMS (in Delphi).
• coding a Decision Support System based on the water quality model CatchMODS (in Delphi).
• building a website for the Top-Down modelling Working Group of IAHS/PUB.
• implementing a wiki-based intranet and calendar system for iCAM. I also generate a map of the intranet.
• researched and presented a report, "Options for assessing the river health implications of flow scenarios in the Namoi and Gwydir catchments".
• 2003: worked for CSIRO Land & Water
• implementing the Murray Flow Assessment Tool (in C# .NET) to support The Living Murray initiative.
• documenting processes for developing extensions to ICMS.
• 2000-2001: worked for the Beaten Track Group doing server-side Perl scripting.

• developed flatplanet, a web-based interface for generating global-scale map projections (in Perl). I also compiled an online map catalogue.
